Beach & Location

The hotel sits on Nea Chora's seafront, a 15-minute walk from Chania's Venetian harbor. The sandy beach in front has rocks and reefs ideal for snorkeling. A lifeguard tower stands on the beach, where umbrellas and sunbeds are available for rent. Nea Chora's open-air market operates every Thursday, selling seasonal produce, clothing, and household items. The city bus stops nearby, connecting to Chania's central bus station and historical Market Hall.

Nea Chora hosts a sardine festival in late August, drawing crowds. During Easter, locals dye eggs red and roast lamb on spits. On Epiphany, priests throw a cross into the harbor, and divers compete to retrieve it. Clean Monday marks the start of Lent with kite flying and seafood feasts. The Samaria Gorge, Crete's most visited hike, is accessible from Chania.
